attach a copy of JSM 15 from the Joint Staff Mission, Washing ton. The Chiefs of Staff considered this telegram at their meeting this morning, and agreed with paragraph 4. They felt that paragraph 4 (a) had been already dealt with in tolegr. No.955 from the Foreign Office to Chungking.

As regards paragraph 4(b) they would be grateful if the Foreign Office would ask the H.! Ambassador in Chungking to press the Generalissimo to inform General Wedemeyer that he is satisfied with the assurance contained in the Foreign Office telegram quoted above.
